About Hillside Preschool, UAFounded in October 1977 by Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (SHLC), Hillside began as a ministry supporting both church families and the wider community. Today, Hillside Preschool, UA operates as an independent unincorporated association, distinct from SHLC. Classes are held on the SHLC campus and a strong, collaborative relationship between Hillside and SHLC continues today.
Partnership with Hortonville Area School District (HASD) Hillside serves as a 4K site for the Hortonville Area School District. Student placement is coordinated by HASD, our curriculum aligns with HASD guidelines, and the 4K teacher at Hillside holds active certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Families can request Hillside as their preferred 4K site during HASD registration. Licensing and Standards Hillside is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Our dedicated teachers and assistants follow the state’s Licensing Rules for Group Childcare Centers, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Open to All Hillside welcomes children of every race, color, and national or ethnic origin. |
