1969

• The Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod formally approves the formation and building of a mission church in Greenville, WI
• In December of 1969, Rev. Philip Hanson accepted the call to begin work as the founding pastor

1970

• Eighty-five worshippers gathered at the Greenville Town Hall Sunday, January 4, 1970 for the opening service of the new church 
• Charter Sunday was celebrated March 15, 1970  
• Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is chosen for the congregation’s name on Sunday, January 25, 1970 
• Parsonage dedicated on Feb. 15, 1970
• Groundbreaking for the new church building held on Nov. 1, 1970

1971

• Cornerstone laid for new church building on May 9, 1971
• Church building is dedicated on Oct. 17, 1971

1977

• Installation of Rev. Stanley G. Bahn on Sept. 18, 1977 
• Hillside Cooperative Nursery School began as a joint effort of the community and the church

1984

• Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Christian Life Center on Oct. 14, 1984

---

1985

• A church addition, which included a fellowship hall, larger narthex, kitchen, lounge, offices and nursery, was completed in March 1985 and dedicated on March 24, 1985

1992

• Rev. Paul Shackel begins his ministry with SHLC in October 1992

1998

• Rev. Eric Wenger begins his ministry with SHLC in August 1998

2001

• Installation of Rev. Randy Loux in October of 2001

2002

• Addition of offices, classrooms and Multi-Ministry Center (MMC)/Gym

2006

• Installation of Rev. Nathan Reichle in August of 2006

2012

• Installation of Rev. Chad Starfeldt in June of 2012

• Ruby's Pantry first year of distribution

• Installation of Rev. Steve Kline in May of 2014

• Groundbreaking ceremony for the new church held on Sunday, June 9, 2019

• Construction completed on the new church

• First Comfort Dog Installation held on February 4, 2024
• Installation of Rev. Grant Thiel in June of 2024
