If you are coming as a SHLC member or Individual, please let us know if you plan to attend with your child in the form.
Is there a cost? This event is FREE! If you care to make a monetary contribution before the event, you can send that donation to Shepherd of the Hills with Night of Hope in the memo line. We will be collecting a free-will donation at the event for a local mental health support organization.
What is the event about? Night of Hope is an event where 7th - 12th grade youth will gather together for fun, fellowship, and conversation around Mental Health & Hope. We have speakers Tanner Olson (poet & author) & Heidi Goehmann (author, counselor, & deaconess) bringing in the truth, fun, and hope during our Worship & Speaker section. Heidi will be covering topics on mental health and Tanner will be sharing his thoughts and poems alongside her. This will be an amazing event centered on the true hope – Jesus.
What can I expect? We will have games, inflatables, food (pizza, chips, water/soda, and breadsticks), crafts, henna tattoos, and more from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Starting at 6:30pm, we will open with our worship band playing a few songs and then enter into our main focus for the evening. The Night of Hope with Heidi Goehmann & Tanner Olson – Where God, Art, & Mental Health Meet. We will then close with prayer.
Will there be lodging provided for those traveling? There will not be any lodging provided by SHLC. There are plenty of hotels in the local area that you can stay at if you would prefer not to drive back. Those will be arranged by you or your group.
I am not apart of SHLC Youth Group or another Youth Group, can I still attend? YES! We would love to have you – you can register as an individual and we will make sure that you have a spot to sit and enjoy! Bring a friend or two with you while you are at it.
