Outreach
At Shepherd of the Hills, our Outreach Ministry is how we extend Christ's love - through hands-on care and heartfelt service. Whether we're caring for elders in Haiti or lighting up Highway 15 with Christmas cheer, we believe in serving joyfully, humbly and together.
- Dale Food Pantry - We regularly collect and donate food to the Dale Food Pantry, helping ease food insecurity in our community. Learn more by visiting Non-Profit Groups – Town of Dale.
- Christmas Light Display - Each December, SHLC lights up the corner of Highway 15 and Meadowview Drive with a festive Christmas light display. This drive-through experience brings warmth and joy to our community and invites everyone to celebrate the reason for the season!
- Greenville Catfish Races – In July, you’ll find us at the Greenville Catfish Races connecting with our neighbors. Stop by our booth for fun giveaways, family activities and meaningful conversations.
- Greenville Parade – In August, we take part in the Greenville Parade with an SHLC float.
- Haiti Elder Care - During past Haiti mission trips, delivering food packages to elderly residents unable to care for themselves was met with such gratitude and was impactful for participants. Today, our Haiti Elder Care Program continues that mission from afar. Through this program, sponsors can provide food, hygiene products and prayer for vulnerable elders in Jacmel, Haiti. You can make a difference through a one-time or monthly gift to the Haiti Elder Care ministry.
More information can be found by clicking on the Sponsor Form linked below. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
- Mission Trips - Teams from Shepherd of the Hills have visited Haiti over the years, beginning with our first trip to Jacmel in March of 2014. Although we are not currently sending teams due to safety concerns, we remain committed to supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ in Haiti.
- Ruby’s Pantry - SHLC is a pop-up site for Ruby’s Pantry, providing affordable grocery bundles the first Saturday of each month to anyone in need.
- Warming Shelter - SHLC members volunteer at the local warming shelter, helping providing kindness to those in need during the coldest seasons.
