It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but sometimes the to-do list feels endless, the preparation seems overwhelming, and this time of the year has a way of reminding us of our deepest disappointments or losses.
But what if we slow down enough to enjoy our God of peace and joy? We can. You can.
Part of experience this most wonderful time of the year is slowing down enough to focus on what it’s really all about. Slowing down enough to really experience the God of the universe in a manger who brings us His love, peace and joy.
At this time of year, we all have reason to worship—and it’s not tied to our current circumstances. We all have reason to slow down and experience the prince of peace, Jesus Christ.
When we worship and spend time with Jesus we echo what the shepherds did that first Christmas. We echo what the wise men did when they finally reached Jesus.
I hear over and over that people just want peace in their life. Part of finding peace is slowing down enough and focusing enough on the most important things to experience the true Prince of Peace.
This Christmas season, instead of focusing on what you need to do, worship God for what He has done for you. Instead of focusing on what you wish you had or what you wish was different, focus on God’s peace and joy given to you.
It is a wonderful time of the year and we all can experience that wonder as we slow down and experience the Prince of Peace, our Savior, Jesus.
