Christian ministry for all ages

Things To Remember
 1. Take time to check out the God Talk sheets that are in your child’s Sunday School folder each week.
2. Learn the memory words for the lesson for the week. Reward your child for verses learned.
3. Pray daily with your children.
4. Find a way to serve Jesus as a family.
5. Worship weekly!
6. Give to our mission project as you are able.

VBS Maker's Fun Factory

Vacation Bible School,   We can't thank all the volunteers and parents who made this year great!!!

VBS is held every summer for Children who have completed 3-yr old preschool through 4th grade.

Our VBS attendees enjoy Bible stories, music, snacks, games, crafts, and more.

All Children in our community are always welcome. If you would like more information please contact the church office.

Children of all ages are more than welcome to join us in worship at any of our services.

If you join us on Sunday for one of our REACH contemporary services you'll find family tables set about the room with drawing supplies; Outside of both of our worship spaces there are age appropriate activity bags containing books, puzzles, etc. all to help keep the little ones occupied.

We also broadcast services in our MMC (Multi Ministry Center) to a TV in the lobby - in case you just need to step out but don't want to miss a thing.

If you prefer, we also offer child care for infants to 5 years old in our nursery (located across from the sanctuary) staffed by licensed caregivers.

Hillside Cooperative Preschool

Hillside Cooperative Preschool is a state-licensed preschool offering a well rounded experience for three and four-year-old children.
It is designed to encourage the child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional development by providing experiences that build enthusiasm for learning. We provide a variety of activities in a safe, healthy and Christian environment.

We offer activities to help children develop at their own rate and level. This is a balanced program that offers your preschool child a wide variety of experiences and an opportunity to meet new people and feel good about themselves.

Hillside Cooperative Preschool is partnered with the Hortonville Area School District to offer four-year-old Kindergarten classes in the morning and afternoon.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a great way to assist Christian parents in their role as spiritual leaders in the home. Children will learn Old & New Testament stories in a fun and interactive way. The lessons learned will help children connect the Word of God in their daily life and nurture their faith in Jesus Christ.

Classes for children age 3 through 4th grade meet each Sunday morning during the school year from 9:10am to 10:15am. Classes are taught by volunteer teachers and include Bible stories, music and small group activities.
Not a member of Shepherd of The Hills? Not a problem; everyone is invited to attend.

All students need to register before attending. You may submit the completed form to the church office in person or via email.

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.Matthew 19:14

Confirmation & Beyond

 Shepherds's D.O.G.'s (Middle School)
Shepherd's DOG's (Disciples Of God) is for grades 6 to 8. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm during the school year. We start with supper at 6 pm, followed by fun large group lessons and small group interaction.

We'll study the Bible and the basics of the Christian faith and Lutheran doctrine leading to Confirmation.
DOGS also participate in retreats and service projects, both at Shepherd of the Hills and in the community.

Uprising Youth Ministry (High School)
This is a group for high school-aged students that also meets every Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm. Group activities  (often high energy) include concerts, lock-ins, canoe trips etc. All activities are designed to foster relationships, build faith in Christ, and strengthen a foundation to carry on into the future.

Point your kids in the right direction. When they're old they won't be lost. Proverbs 22:6

ATTENTION EXPECTING AND NEW PARENTS:
Join us for our Birth/Baptism class based on the Faith Legacy Series. This one-time, one-hour session is designed to help expecting and/or new parents gain insight into how to nurture their child’s spiritual journey and the importance of baptism as a starting point for their relationship with their Savior, Jesus.
This class is a requirement prior to having your child baptized at SHLC. This class is offered the second Sunday of the month in Matthew (the room across the hall from the Fellowship Hall kitchen) and is taught by Jim Caves or one of our pastors.
