What is Ruby's Pantry
Ruby's Pantry, a faith-based non-profit organization, partners with food distributors and producers to gather their surpluses, overages and bumper crops. Food bundles are then distributed to pop-up pantries across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota, including at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
Ruby's Pantry is for everyone! There is no income or residency requirement and for a $25 donation, you will receive an abundance of grocery items. Whether you would like to stretch your grocery dollar, join the sustainability movement or enjoy a variety of food - you can come to the pop-up pantry! Learn more at RubysPantry.org. |
What to Expect
Ruby's Pantry in Greenville is held on the first Saturday of each month between 8-10 a.m. Before you arrive, please go to RubysPantry.org to create an account. Registration is simple and requires no documentation.
You do not need to pre-register but Express Track reservations will ensure your bundle is reserved for you. If you do not pre-register and complete your donation for a bundle on the website, we will have a number of first-come, first-served cash portions. We recommend being on-site by 7:30 am to claim one (or more) of the drive-up cash bundles.
Our volunteers will guide you through each step of your visit, but we recommend you bring 2 boxes/totes and clean out a space in your vehicle for your bundles to be loaded.

Nourishing Bodies, Feeding Souls
At the heart of our ministry is a commitment not only to kindness and compassion but also to meeting the spiritual needs of those we serve. Through our partnership with the Gideons, we personally connect with each guest—taking prayer requests, listening with open hearts, and providing Bibles and Portals of Prayer devotional books to offer guidance and encouragement.
On the Saturday morning of distribution, our volunteers gather in prayer and devotion, grounding our efforts in faith before distributing food to those in need. This time of reflection strengthens our mission and unites us in service, ensuring that everyone who comes to us receives both physical nourishment and spiritual support.
Ruby's Pantry relies on approximately 75 volunteers each month to prepare for and run each event. Volunteers might help with set-up, bundling packages, loading bundles into cars, directing traffic and/or cleaning up after the distribution.
Typical Volunteer Shifts: First Saturday of each month, 7:15 am until about 10:30 am, Friday night before 5 pm until about 7:30 pm. Please reach out with any questions to [email protected].
Join us in making a difference, one meal and one prayer at a time.
